Planting: Pacific wax myrtle (Morella californica)

How to plant a street tree:

-Email the city/choose a (native) species from a city provided list.
-Dig a big hole - if you can, as deep as the root ball and twice as wide.
-Loosen up the root ball, pull soil away from the trunk until you see the first major roots, cut any roots growing in a circle around the tree.
-Plant high! (Make sure root flare is at or above soil grade).
-Install stakes and support tree with a soft wide material.
-Water it, ice your back, enjoy!
